From easy valley-floor strolls to demanding ascents of the Pedraforca, from historic routes like the Route of the Good Men, every day you can try a different trail. Emblematic routes of the Bergueda
The must-do routes for hikers:
- Pedraforca ascent (2,506 m): The emblematic mountain of the Bergueda. Route from Gosol (5-6h) or from Saldes (4-5h). Medium-high difficulty with sections of easy scrambling at the summit.
- Route of the Good Men: A historic Cathar trail that crosses the Bergueda between Baga and Gosol. You can do single-day stages or the full crossing in 3-4 days.
- Serra d'Ensija: A high-mountain traverse between the Sanctuary of Lord and the Coll de Port, with exceptional panoramic views.
- Sources of the Llobregat: An easy route from Castellar de n'Hug to the birthplace of the Llobregat river (1h each way).
Easy routes for families and beginners
You do not need to be an expert to enjoy hiking in the Bergueda:
- Carrilet Route: A flat path on a former railway line between Berga and Guardiola. Suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs on some sections.
- Font de la Tosca: From Montclar, a 1-hour walk through flat forest to a spectacular spring with travertine formations.
- Bastareny Valley walk: A gentle route following the river from Baga, with picnic and bathing areas.
- Artigas Gardens (Pobla de Lillet): Gardens designed by Gaudi with walkways over the Llobregat river.
The Cadi-Moixero Natural Park
La Tor de Montclar is at the gateway to the Cadi-Moixero Natural Park, one of the largest natural parks in Catalonia:
- Wildlife: Chamois, roe deer, golden eagles, bearded vultures, marmots and capercaillie.
- Flora: From Scots pine and beech forests to alpine meadows with gentians and edelweiss.
- Baga Visitor Centre: Information on routes, wildlife and park regulations. 10 minutes from the farmhouse.
- Guided excursions: The park organises ranger-led walks, especially in summer.

- Day 4: Pedraforca ascent from Gosol (6-7h, high difficulty).
- Day 5: Carrilet Route + visit to Berga (3-4h, easy).
